Estonias hottest young art groups PinkPunk and Avangard come to Auckland with an energetic and challenging show of their photographs, video projections and sculpture including Avant-garde or Death, Art is Great and I Could Be Your Mother. Using strategies of humour and irony, they engage with social and political issues such as motherhood and ageism. PinkPunk will also bring their parodic yet penetrating east European humour to the streets of Auckland in performances at selected locations during the festival. A Hot Art Chat Line everything you ever wanted to know about art but were afraid to ask will operate throughout AK05. Callers can ring to discuss art or ask questions about art with an art expert.
